Integrative Medicine Fellowship – Seattle, WA

The Swedish Cherry Hill Family Medicine Program is committed to providing excellence in education to all of the residents in Integrative Medicine. In alignment with this, we have created a one year fellowship which will allow for pursuit of expertise in this area. During this year, the fellow will obtain advanced training in Integrative Medicine through both primary care and consult clinic, attending on the Family Medicine Service, and precepting in clinic.

The fellowship can be customized to meet the needs and interests of the particular fellow. We want the fellow to graduate with practical skills and expertise in Integrative Medicine. There will be foundational curriculum in Integrative Medicine for all fellows including nutrition, botanicals, mind-body medicine, botanical medicine, and spirituality in medicine. In addition, the fellow will choose an area of particular interest to pursue through CME, self-directed learning and work with area practitioners.

Qualifications: applicants should have completed a three year family medicine residency and have interest in working with underserved populations.

The fellowship is 60% clinical and 40% protected time for pursuit of an expertise in a chosen area of Integrative Medicine and Self-Care.  Clinical training includes Integrative Medicine Consultation Clinic at the Cherry Hill site, attending on the Family Medicine Service, precepting in clinic and regular didactics to residents.  Fellows will maintain skills by doing primary care clinic at the Cherry Hill site as well as Obstetrics.  The program has a strong mission for underserved populations.
