Our Services

Our integrated approach supports innovative teaching and consistent evaluation across the Network, helping residents thrive in diverse clinical settings. We coordinate and support these efforts through our FMRN administrative office within the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine.

We’re proud to offer a range of services designed to strengthen residency programs and support educators and learners, including:

  • Consultation with network faculty experts on new program development and financing
  • Online residency administration resources for new program directors and residency coordinators
  • Assistance creating a New Innovations site (FMRN’s residency administration software)
  • New program reviews by peer review teams
  • Program development funding for Washington State programs
  • Facilitation of program-to-program sharing of best practices and faculty expertise
  • Internal reviews to assist Network programs in preparation for accreditation reviews
  • Peer consultations
  • New Program Directors Workshops
  • Access to listservs for directors, coordinators, and other affinity groups
  • Annual Lead Residents Conference
  • Meetings for affiliated peer groups to provide professional development and facilitate best practices and resource-sharing, including quarterly directors’ meetings and annual meetings for residency coordinators, behavioral scientists and lead residents
  • Teleconferences and webinars are also available in between annual meetings for these same groups using Zoom
  • A five-week on-campus Faculty Development Fellowship
  • A yearlong faculty development Certificate Program meeting once a month remotely and two in-person conferences
  • Quarterly Director Development Sessions
  • Monthly interactive Faculty Development Webinars; also available asynchronously
  • Access to listservs for faculty peer groups
  • Faculty development opportunities with Madigan Faculty Development fellows including simulation training, POCUS Workshops, and Leadership and Education Workshops
  • Ad hoc collaborative conferences
  • New Innovations Network conference every 2-3 years
  • Osteopathic resources including workshops, webinars, and assistance with osteopathic recognition
  • Training and onsite support for New Innovations Residency Management Suite
