Reports, Return Site Visit, and Looking to the Future
The following is a timeline of key events regarding MEDEX Northwest’s assignment of ARC-PA Accreditation-Probation status during the year 2026. Happenings include a major staff leader promotion, high-stakes reports, another site visit, and so much more, and that’s all before the halfway mark.
This year also marks what is hoped to be the final one on Accreditation-Probation status, which was assigned in October of 2024, and is for a minimum duration of two years per ARC-PA rules.
January 17
January 17 – Updated Admissions prerequisites published to MEDEX website.
March 1 – Submission of modified Self Study Report (mSSR); see Citations section of this dashboard for more details regarding the citations and the Standards to which they apply.

March 11
March 11 – Michael Deutsch named Assistant Director of Educational Evaluation and Analytics, and will serve as leader of the MEDEX Evaluation and Assessment unit.
March 23-27 – All-MEDEX Annual Retreat: Multi-day discussions and activities, including:
- ARC-PA mock site visit and citation discussions.
- Accreditation status and reporting update.
- Review of MEDEX Mission, Vision, Values, Program Competencies.
- Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) Admissions workshop.

April 29-30 – MEDEX conducted a mock site visit across all campuses prior to the official ARC-PA site visit in May. Teams across all five campuses worked together to successfully prepare for this important event.
May 28-29 – ARC-PA Focused Site Visit: The ARC-PA conducted a focused site visit across all MEDEX campuses. Outcomes will be shared as they become available.

July 23 – MEDEX received 13 observations following the May 28-29 ARC-PA site visit, and our response was submitted on July 23. The next ARC-PA board meeting is in October 2026, at which time they will decide on the next steps for MEDEX.
