The following is a timeline of key events regarding MEDEX Northwest’s ARC-PA Accreditation-Probation status, assigned in October 2024. It was a stressful time in which MEDEX employees pulled together to begin the work of getting the program back on track towards Accreditation-Continued status with the ARC-PA. Programs assigned Accreditation-Probation status remain so for a minimum of two years, per the ARC-PA’s rules.
October 18
October 18 – MEDEX Northwest is notified by the ARC-PA that the program has been placed on Accreditation-Probation status. MEDEX leadership begins work on a plan to address this.
October 22 – MEDEX submits Request for Appeal to the ARC-PA.

October 25 – MEDEX holds emergency meeting to notify employees of Accreditation-Probation status and respond to questions.

December 5-6 – ARC-PA Focused Site Visit: Commission site visitors in-person at Seattle office; participation from faculty, staff, and students from all campuses.

December 17 – Following request by MEDEX to extend to January 31, Observation Response deadline extended by the ARC-PA from January 10 to January 17, 2025.
