Assistant Teaching Professor, Didactic Faculty

I was raised in Puyallup, WA. After watching my grandmother dialysis my grandfather at home for 13 years, I decided at a very young age that I wanted to work in the medical field.

I started working in the medical field at 16 years of age, and I’ve never looked back. After working as a chiropractic X-ray tech for four years, I joined the Army and served as Combat Medic. I also volunteered as an EMT and pursued by bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland concurrently. After leaving active duty, I taught EMT basic, Combat Life Saver, BLS, and Combat Medic courses in the Army Reserves for two years, while working as a medical assistant and completing my master’s degree in health education from TUI.

I attended MEDEX in 2010 and graduated in 2012 with my MS in Health Science. I have worked as a PA the last ten years in Family Practice, with three concurrent years in urgent care. I am also currently pursuing my Doctorate in Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg.

I started at MEDEX in March 2022. Coming back to MEDEX as faculty is literally a dream come true, and I am beyond excited for this opportunity!  I love this profession, and I am really excited to teach future PAs and help them become amazing providers!

In my spare time I enjoy traveling, hiking, concerts, and spending time with my family.
