Christopher Behrens is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington, with joint appointments in Global Health, Family Medicine, and Infectious Disease. Dr. Behrens is an attending physician at the Family Medicine and Madison Clinics at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he provides direct patient care and trains University of Washington medical students, residents, and infectious disease fellows. Dr. Behrens is the Medical Director for the Family Medicine Clinic at Harborview Medical Center, where he precepts MEDEX students. He also serves on the Medical Quality Improvement Committee at Harborview. His global health work involves technical assistance to Ukraine and countries in the Caribbean region, primarily developing course curricula and training other health care professionals on topics such as HIV, viral hepatitis, and tuberculosis.
