Senior Lecturer, Didactic Faculty – Emeritus
Timothy Quigley’s role with MEDEX Northwest included both administration and faculty responsibilities. As Director of Student Affairs, he oversaw Admissions, Student Services and Alumni Affairs. As teaching faculty, he was the longtime course chair of the Behavioral Medicine course and the Health Policy course, as well as co-chair for Public Health and Preventive Medicine. In his retirement he continues with the department as mentor/advisor for graduate students researching and writing their Masters Capstone papers.
A Chicago native who grew up in Indiana, Mr. Quigley started PA school in 1972, eventually taking the inaugural NCCPA board exam in 1975. With a background in research, family medicine and psychiatry, he started a career in academia at Wichita State University’s PA department in 1995. He was awarded the university’s Excellence in Teaching award in 2000 and served on that faculty as a tenured Associate Professor until 2010. That year he joined the University of Washington School of Medicine’s MEDEX PA program where he still serves as emeritus faculty.
