Lecturer, Didactic Faculty

Rachael Robins is a board-certified PA with a Master of Clinical Health Services from the University of Washington’s MEDEX Northwest PA Program (Seattle Class 50). This is her second career, after a brief but boring stint as a laboratory scientist. After completing a Family Medicine Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente, Rachael continued to work in primary care across a variety of clinical settings, both inpatient and outpatient.

She has enjoyed professional forays into specialty care – neurology, immunology, and wound care. Additionally, she has experience leading immunotherapy protocols and developing plasmapheresis standards.

A highlight of Rachael’s career thus far is her work with the Fijian Ministry of Health in Suva, where she contributed to an STI screening and treatment program, supported research on novel point-of-care diagnostics for chlamydial diseases, and provided medical outreach and reproductive health counseling in underserved remote communities. During this time, she had the opportunity to teach and supervise local and international medical students, an experience that furthered her investment in teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals.

Beyond her professional life, Rachael’s hobbies include entomology, bodybuilding, and finding inspiration in the life and career of Arnold Schwarzenegger. An active member of WAPA and AAPA, she is pursuing a Clinical Teaching Certificate at the University of Washington while continuing her dedication to advancing education, clinical care, and health equity.
