Associate Teaching Professor, Didactic Faculty

Dr. Natalie Kehau Kong was born in Waimanalo, O ‘ahu. She went to the John A. Burns School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine Residency in Phoenix, AZ. She went on to receive fellowship training in Obstetrics and Rural Medicine in Tacoma, WA. Upon her return home to Hawai’i she became a faculty member at the Hawai’i Island Family Medicine Residency Program in Hilo, HI. She then practiced full spectrum Family Medicine including obstetrics in Waimea, Hawai’i Island. She currently practices Family Medicine in her home town of Waimanalo.  

Dr. Kong loves caring for the entire family and believes that health starts at home in the family unit. She is active with Hawaiian culture, dancing hula, trying to learn ‘oli, or Hawaiian chanting and including Hawaiian cultural models of health into her clinical practice.   

Dr. Kong joined the MEDEX Kona faculty team in 2020 as an Assistant Teaching Professor.
