Lecturer, Didactic Faculty

I was born and raised in Soldotna, Alaska, and grew up as a lot of small-town Alaska kids do: camping, hunting, and fishing with my family. I was always drawn to medicine and science and moved to Anchorage to pursue higher education. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UAA in 2010. I then went on to earn a Master’s in Public Health from UAA in 2013. My student journey culminated with MEDEX upon graduating in 2015 with Anchorage Class 5.

I have worked in family medicine at a community health center since 2017. I find it incredibly rewarding to provide care to our most vulnerable and underserved patient populations. As a PA, I feel I have a duty to help increase access to care for these patients. In turn, I have also learned so much from my patients and am grateful for the experiences I have had. My specialty interests include HIV, infectious disease and gender affirming care.

As a preceptor to many PA students, I wanted to expand on my time with future PAs. This led me to joining the MEDEX team as faculty in March 2024. I’m excited to be working with students and sharing the knowledge I have gained thus far.

In my non-medical life, I have an amazing husband and two children that light up my world. I love spending time outdoors but also enjoy baking and art projects.
