Stefan Wheat, MD, is an assistant professor of emergency medicine at the University of Washington, associate director of clinical programs at the Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education, and co-director of education for the Planetary Health North American Regional Hub. He specializes in climate change, health equity, and medical education, leading efforts to integrate climate and health into health professional training and national curricula. He founded ecoAmerica’s ClimateRx program and serves as Planetary Health Theme Director at the University of Washington School of Medicine. His work increasingly intersects with integrative medicine by advancing prevention-focused approaches to climate-related health hazards, and he aims to contribute to the Osher Center through interdisciplinary education, research, and clinical innovation that promote resilience and well-being in the face of environmental change.
