Carolyn Kim, B.A.
Carolyn joined us in June 2023 and quickly became a key player on our team. We’re excited that she decided to stay on and contribute her skills and enthusiasm to our mission. Carolyn has a BA in Communication from the University of Washington and is TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages) certified. Carolyn has worked as a Program Coordinator at UW STEM, UW Mechanical Engineering, UW Medicine, UW Nursing, and PacTrans. She’s also taught English in Seoul, South Korea, and held various admin roles at UW Medicine, MEDEX Northwest, and Evans School of Public Affairs. Her diverse background means she’s built her skillset up and is more than ready to excel in her role here at the UW Osher Center. Carolyn played a key role in managing the Cha Chi Ming Educational Series in 2023 and has already proven to be a fantastic addition to the team. Beyond her professional experience, Carolyn is very involved in public service. She’s been a Board Member and Secretary for Woodlawn Terrace Condominium, coordinated events and wrote articles for Families of Color Seattle (FOCS), and mentored college freshmen through the UW Achievers Program. Her dedication to community service shows her commitment to making a positive impact.
