Sports Medicine

The University of Washington offers a 1-year ACGME-accredited Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship sponsored jointly by the Department of Family Medicine and Seattle Children’s Hospital. The fellowship offers comprehensive sports medicine training, including advanced procedural instruction and elite athlete care, with an academic focus. Two fellows are accepted per year, one to the family medicine or internal medicine track, and one to the pediatrics track.

The UW Family Medicine Global Health Fellowship trains future leaders in Global Health. The fellowship is a one-year post-residency training opportunity focusing on further developing skills and expertise in working with underserved populations in the United States and within resource-poor settings globally. The fellow’s training consists of longitudinal clinical experiences in primary care, specialty rotations (including tuberculosis, HIV, and infectious disease), and opportunities to work abroad for up to two months.
