Health Care Workforce Pay Gaps: COVID-19 Modestly Compressed Wage Disparities, 2015–24

Using data from the Current Population Survey, we examined trends in median earnings among health care workers during the period 2015–24. We found that the workers in the lowest-earning occupations in the health care professions experienced gains of approximately 13 percent in this period—significantly higher than other groups.
