UW CHWS is the recipient of two Health Workforce Research Center (HWRC) cooperative agreement grants from the National Center for Health Workforce Analysis (NCHWA) housed in the Bureau of Health Workforce of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. After our founding HRSA health workforce research funding in 1998, we received our first HRSA HWRC grant in 2014 to conduct studies on the allied health workforce. We received the second HWRC grant in 2018 to conduct studies on training and educating health professionals to address health equity. For each HWRC, we conduct 4 to 5 policy-relevant studies per year and provide rapid response analyses as requested by NCHWA.
