Jason Harper MD

Dr. Harper is the director of the Harborview Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic, and has served in that role for about 5 years.  He is passionate about providing longitudinal care to individuals with inflammatory bowel disease, and providing an integrative model of care to this patient population.  Dr. Harper is completing an integrative medicine fellowship through the University of Arizona and, upon completion, his goal is to formally start an integrative medical program within the UW IBD center.  Specifically, he is in the process of starting a shared/group medical visit model within the IBD program that, if successful, could be expanded into the management of other chronic digestive conditions (e.g. IBS), as well as in the care of other chronic diseases that are not GI-specific.

 

Dr. Harper will be involved with the Osher Center in teaching/education to residents/fellows, especially around integrative gastroenterology.  He looks forward to opportunities in research endeavors through the Center.
