Course Requirements
The course requirements for the Underserved Pathway allow students to select from existing courses that have either an underserved focus or take place in a setting that cares for people who are vulnerable or underserved.
Courses that are approved for UP requirements:
If you are interested in a course or clerkship that is not listed and you believe it should qualify, email us at upath@uw.edu to request pre-approval for fulfilling pathway requirements. If a clerkship is held at more than one site, partial Underserved Pathway credit may be given for the time spent in settings that care for people who are underserved within that clerkship. Again, this must be approved PRIOR to taking the course or clerkship that is not listed here in order to receive credit.
