Biography:
Marieke van Eijk is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the University of Washington’s Department of Medical Anthropology and Global Health Department since 2014 and an Investigator for the UW Center for Health Workforce Studies (CHWS) researching health care equity frameworks, doulas, and community paramedicine. Dr. van Eijk’s research and teaching interests focus on understanding patterns of seeking, giving, and paying for care, in the United States and elsewhere.
