Ben Dunlap, MPH

Biography:
Ben Dunlap joined the Center in 2019. His prior work includes developing automated measures of quality and data visualizations using electronic medical record data for palliative care providers, researching error-disclosure practices, norms, and trainings in medical settings, and doing field research for occupational health and UW biology. Ben holds a Master in Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Services Research from the University of Washington’s School of Public Health (2015), and he is an alum of the UW’s Jackson School of International Studies where he studied international development policy. He supports the Center’s Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Equity Center as well as Washington State funded projects. Ben’s research interests are in mixed methods research to inform public policy, patient access and safety, and health care quality. Outside of work, he volunteers with Sail Sand Point, an outdoor education organization in Seattle.
