Identifying Factors that Support Local Health Department Workforce Capacity for Promoting Health Equity
Description:
Local health departments (LHDs) require robust workforce capacity and specific competencies to advance health equity. This study investigated the prevalence of essential health equity competencies among LHD staff and organizational and community characteristics associated with these workforce competencies to help guide resource allocation, tailored training, and other critical supports for the public health workforce.
