How Financial Support During the COVID Crisis Affected the Federally Qualified Health Center Workforce: An Update
Description:
In our recent analysis, we identified the types and amounts of COVID-19-related funding received by federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) in 2020, the patient, staffing and other organizational characteristics associated with funding levels, and the association between funding levels and FQHCs’ ability to adapt during the crisis such as the use of virtual services. This study updated our analysis to include additional funding received by FQHCs in 2021, such as from the American Rescue Plan, and to monitor its continued effects on FQHCs’ ability to deliver high quality care as the pandemic persists.
