Envisioning New Career Pathways for Pharmacy Technicians
Description:
Pharmacy technicians are critical members of the pharmacy workforce; however, the profession is facing ongoing and worsening technician shortages, which were exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study identified gaps in the current career pathways for pharmacy technicians and approaches to improve their retention within community and health-system pharmacy settings in order to address ongoing workforce challenges.
