Comparing State-Level Supports for the Maternal and Child Health Workforce: Development of a State-Level Index

Description:

While recent research and policy has highlighted a significant interest in growing, diversifying, and supporting the maternal and child health (MCH) workforce, more information is needed for states to identify areas of greatest need and where they excel, how they compare to other states, and opportunities for additional policies targeted towards MCH workforce development and support. This study created a data-driven state index that is displayed on an interactive dashboard ranking states according to how well they support the MCH workforce (“MCH Workforce Support index”).
