Characterizing the Food and Nutrition Service Workforce and Their Career Pathways
Description:
In this study, we will examine the nutrition services workforce in the US, including individual characteristics, job characteristics, and job dynamics over the past 10 years. Specifically, we will: 1) characterize the sociodemographic profiles of nutrition service workers by industry and occupation type: 2) describe the job movements of nutrition service workers in different settings; and 3) compare the sociodemographic characteristics and job features (e.g., full-time status, benefits, insurance, etc.) of nutrition service workers who stay in food services occupations versus those who leave food services occupations as well as their source or destination occupations and industries.
