Burnout and Stress Among Medical and Health Professional Program Faculty

Description:

This study complements a recent UW CHWS study comparing burnout and stress among underrepresented minority (URM) students across health professions. In this study, we explored burnout and stress among URM faculty. Through a survey of faculty in health professional programs in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing (Doctor of Nursing Practice), Pharmacy, and Dentistry, this study examined two key study questions: 1) Do URM faculty experience more burnout and stress than faculty who are not underrepresented? 2) How do faculty from different URM racial/ethnic backgrounds compare in terms of burnout and stress?
