As we move through the winter months, we’re pleased to share the UW CHWS February 2026 newsletter, packed with a range of current research and insights on Washington’s health workforce.
The issue highlights recently completed studies, including detailed summaries of data resources available to inform health workforce policy and planning, and an examination of the Indian Health Service Expanded Function Dental Assistant-1 workforce model and the role it can have in IHS and tribal clinic settings in increasing access to preventive oral health services in Washington.
It also summarizes recent efforts to inform the Washington State Legislature about oral health workforce supply and demand, along with recent media coverage as well as new publications and presentations from the UW CHWS team.
