There is continued interest in better understanding, supporting, and growing the doula workforce. This is evidenced in continued interest in a paper by CHWS members which was among the 10 most cited articles in Health Equity in 2023. This paper, based on a study led by Marieke van Eijk, explores ways that doulas address racism and perinatal inequities through how they approach their work. For further details, read the paper here.
