Access, Delivered, a research team within the University of Washington’s Department of Family Medicine, partners with advocacy organizations, local clinics, and clinicians in 20 states to expand telehealth medication abortion services across the U.S.
Through peer-reviewed research, we’ve shown that primary care clinicians can safely and effectively offer these services within their practices, meeting the needs of entire states while providing patients with flexible, accessible care.
Our research demonstrates the transformative potential of telehealth abortion care, reducing barriers to care, especially for those in underserved communities. Patients report positive experiences with telehealth, citing increased autonomy and access.
