Biography

Nelson Chiu, MD, FAAFP is the Clinic Medical Director at University of Washington (UW) Primary Care at Northgate as well as a Clinical Associate Professor in the UW Medicine Department of Family Medicine. He completed residency at the UW and graduated from Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, where he was a Humanism Scholar, and Princeton University, where he studied public policy. He is member of the residency core faculty, where he leads the Practice Management, Quality Improvement, and Leadership and Advocacy curricula, and also teaches medical and other health professions students in the outpatient and inpatient settings. He currently serves as a member of the Washington Academy of Family Physicians Board of Trustees and is a past President of the King County Academy of Family Physicians.
