Biography

Dr. Joel Jin (he/him) is a licensed clinical psychologist and behavioral health consultant at the UW Neighborhood Northgate Clinic. He earned his PhD in clinical psychology at Fuller’s Graduate School of Psychology (Pasadena, CA). He completed his residency at Pine Rest (Grand Rapids, MI) working with children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient units, partial hospitalization programs, and outpatient clinics. His postdoctoral training was in clinical neuropsychological assessment at Balanced Minds (Bellevue, WA). Also, Dr. Jin is an Acting Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Washington. Prior to joining UW, Dr. Jin was an Assistant Professor at Seattle Pacific University’s Department of Clinical Psychology, where he researched the role of life adversity and emotions on centralized pain among racially minoritized adults.
