Women gained representation and wages among health care jobs with higher educational requirements yet gender wage disparities increased for women in lower paid jobs where representation of men increased. This “Editor’s Choice” article published in Health Affairs Scholar was selected given the importance of this topic and the associated policy and equity implications. The study was co-led by UW CHWS Director Bianca Frogner and University of Minnesota Associate Professor Janette Dill through UW’s Health Workforce Research Center on Allied Health with funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration.
