After nearly 5 years of development and preparation, the Supporting Life trial is about to get underway in Malawi. This is an international study, with partners from multiple universities, including Matthew Thompson and Victoria Hardy from our department. It measures the effectiveness of a smart phone to support village health care workers’ diagnosis and treatment of children under 5 yr with acute illness.
