DESCRIPTION:
Over the past 8 years, UW Medicine has invested in the implementation and support of a large clinical data repository for secondary use of electronic medical record data. This repository is called “Amalga.” Concurrently, the Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS) has invested in a Biomedical Informatics Consult team to support investigators’ access and use of this important data resource. This presentation will describe the data repository, and give examples of research use of it, including the tools and services from ITHS.
