Lindo headshotEdwin Lindo, JD, assistant dean for social and health justice, UW Medicine Office of Healthcare Equity, was recently honored by the Puget Sound Business Journal’s annual 40 Under 40 class for 2026.

The award highlights the region’s most exceptional young professionals whose innovation, leadership and impact are shaping our economy and society and redefining what’s next in their industries. Lindo is an educator, scholar and community builder with a focus on interrogating systems of racism in Medicine, Law, and beyond. His primary appointment is in the Department of Family Medicine, and has adjunct appointments at the UW School of Law, UW Department of Bioethics & Humanities, and Morehouse School of Medicine.

This award equally recognizes Lindo’s work as the co-founder and curator of Estelita’s Library, a Seattle-based social justice library that creates space for inquiry, knowledge and joy. Estelita’s Library will be developing 40 units of affordable housing in the Beacon Hill neighborhood by 2028.

The 40 Under 40 program, now in its 28th year, recognizes leaders in our region for making a difference in their local companies, communities and industries. The honorees will be highlighted in a special print edition of the Puget Sound Business Journal and at an awards ceremony in April.
