PostGRES Profile Detail – Staff

Biography

Brooke Ike, MPH has been a Research Scientist in Family Medicine since 2015 and involved in public health research at the University of Washington (UW) since 2005. She earned a master's degree in Public Health with a focus on Social and Behavioral Sciences from UW and a bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from Arizona State University. She has expertise in community and practice-based research, project management, and quality improvement and has worked on health-related studies and implementation projects in the areas of cancer screening, opioids, emergency medical services, disaster preparedness and response, limited English proficient and cross-cultural communications, health equity, and domestic violence. Brooke previously worked at the UW Health Promotion Research Center, the UW Northwest Center for Public Health Practice, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and the Arizona Governor's Office for Domestic Violence Prevention. Outside of work, Brooke loves any and all activities that get her out in nature, such as birding, hiking, paddle boarding, and cross-country skiing. When at home you can find her curled up with a good book or playing tabletop games with her family.
