Biography

Phil Myers is a nurse practitioner on the inpatient Palliative Care Service. He and his team members provide support to patients and families facing serious illness with the goal of reducing physical, psycho-social and spiritual suffering. His team also helps guide patients and families with difficult medical decisions, and planning for the future based on an understanding of the patient, and family goals and values.
Phil earned his bachelors degree in comparative religions and psychology from the UW. He was hired as a staff RN at the UW Medical Center in 1992. He earned his M.N. degree in 2005 from the UW and worked for a number of years as a nurse practitioner in prostate oncology before joining the Palliative Care Service in 2011.
