I graduated from the University of Washington Family Medicine Residency in 2019 and afterwards worked in rural areas gaining experience in hospital and emergent\/urgent care settings, primarily in southwest Alaska with the Yupik native Alaskans.<\/p>\n<p>Through my patients\u2019 stories as well as my own healing journey, I became curious in the theory that the body holds old patterns and habits of traumatic reactions, which eventually manifest as physical symptoms or conditions such as burn-out, addiction and chronic pain. I believe that by bringing these subconscious patterns to consciousness through mind-body practices that patients can come into a new relationship with their symptoms, ultimately leading to a more holistic and integrated sense of self.
