As one of the original 11 Teaching Health Centers, our fully integrated family medicine residency, Montana Family Medicine Residency, provides inpatient, outpatient, and long term care as well as OB services and teaching opportunities. Montana Family Medicine Residency received the 2017 Gold Foundation DeWitt C. Baldwin Jr Award which recognized the health care system and leadership for fostering a respectful, supportive educational environment while delivering high-quality health care. Our system is based on patient care teams composed of Physicians, Physician Assistants, RN’s, LPN”s, Medical Assistants, Pre-visit Planning staff, Administrative Support as well as Integrated Behavioral Health Counselors, Clinical Pharmacists, Nutritionist, and Care Management. Our mission is to improve life, health and safety by providing comprehensive primary care in a culturally fluent manner to all patients, regardless of ability to pay.

Our main campus and largest clinic is located in Billings, Montana. Our services include three rural satellite clinics, three Healthcare for the Homeless sites, a retail Pharmacy, a large Dental Practice and a School-based Health Center. We provide care for the whole family, including prenatal care, caring for infants and children to aging adults. Our new state of the art teaching health center was completed in 2018.

Billings is Montana’s largest city, with a population of about 105,000. The city is located in south-central Montana and is known as “Montana’s Trailhead”, with an abundance of local outdoor activities and skiing within an hour’s drive. There are several mountain ranges in the Billings area, including the Bighorn Mountains, the Pryor Mountains directly south of Billings, the Beartooth Mountains which include Granite Peak; at 12,807 feet (3,904 m) this peak is the highest point in the state of Montana. The Beartooth Highway, a series of steep zigzags and switchbacks along the Montana–Wyoming border, is a beautiful scenic drive that leads to Yellowstone National Park. The Bull Mountains are a low-lying heavily forested range north of Billings Heights. Billings includes Montana State University- Billings, Rocky Mountain College, and the Billings City College as well as Billings Clinic and St Vincent Healthcare. As the largest population center in Montana, Billings is a hub for healthcare and other events for the entire eastern portion of the state.

Pay Range: $ 180,000-$ 240,000 annual salary DOE
