In 2021, PA education will be undergoing a change nationally. At this time, all PA programs must grant master\u2019s degrees at the completion of the program. With this shift coming in just a few years, MEDEX is taking steps to meet this change in the upcoming application cycles.<\/p>\n
Beginning in the 2018-19 application cycle, MEDEX is no longer accepting applications or students to the bachelor\u2019s degree program.<\/p>\n
All four sites at MEDEX \u2013 Seattle, Spokane, and Tacoma, WA and Anchorage, AK \u2013 will be accepting master\u2019s students only in upcoming application cycles. Sites in Tacoma and Anchorage are transitioning from hybrid campuses to master\u2019s training sites. All seats at all four sites are now available for master\u2019s applicants. Students beginning their PA training at any MEDEX campus in summer 2019 will pursue a Master in Clinical Health Services degree.<\/p>\n
All applicants must meet the prerequisites to the master\u2019s degree option to be eligible to apply to MEDEX in the 2018-19 application cycle.<\/p>\n
To be eligible to apply to MEDEX in the 2018-19 application cycle, all applicants will need to meet the following requirements:
\n-Baccalaureate degree (completed in or before the calendar year of application)
\n-Academic prerequisites
\n-Clinical prerequisites
\n-3.0 in the most recent 90 quarter or 60 semester hours of coursework
\n-GRE (completed within 5 years of application) or prior master\u2019s degree<\/p>\n
