This is her second career, after a brief but boring stint as a laboratory scientist. After completing a Family Medicine Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente, Rachael continued to work in primary care across a variety of clinical settings, both inpatient and outpatient.<\/p>\n<p>She has enjoyed professional forays into specialty care \u2013 neurology, immunology, and wound care. Additionally, she has experience leading immunotherapy protocols and developing plasmapheresis standards. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A highlight of Rachael\u2019s career thus far is her work with the Fijian Ministry of Health in Suva, where she contributed to an STI screening and treatment program, supported research on novel point-of-care diagnostics for chlamydial diseases, and provided medical outreach and reproductive health counseling in underserved remote communities. During this time, she had the opportunity to teach and supervise local and international medical students, an experience that furthered her investment in teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond her professional life, Rachael\u2019s hobbies include entomology, bodybuilding, and finding inspiration in the life and career of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
