My name is Megan Janorschke and I&#8217;m honored to share a bit about my journey with you. I hail from the beautiful town of Soldotna, Alaska, where the rugged landscapes and tight-knit community instilled in me a sense of humility and resilience from an early age.<\/p>\n<p>After graduating from the University of Fairbanks with my undergraduate degree, I embarked on a path that led me to the esteemed MEDEX Anchorage program (Class 12). Little did I know that this would mark the beginning of an incredibly fulfilling chapter in my life. Since January of 2023, I&#8217;ve had the privilege of being involved in the MEDEX program not just as a graduate, but also as a lecturer. It all started with an exciting opportunity as a contract lecturer, specializing in Emergency Medicine. Through sharing my experiences and knowledge, I found a profound joy in helping shape the next generation of healthcare professionals. In September 2023, I was humbled to be offered a faculty position within the program. It was a moment that filled me with gratitude and a renewed sense of responsibility to continue fostering a supportive learning environment for students.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to my role at MEDEX, I also work in the Fast Track of the emergency department at the Alaska Native Medical Center. This hands-on experience keeps me grounded, reminding me of the real-world impact of the lessons I impart in the classroom. Every day, I&#8217;m reminded of how fortunate I am to be able to serve my community in these capacities.
