Assistant Teaching Professor, Clinical Coordinator

My introduction to a career in medicine as well as my life in Hawaii began at an early age. As the daughter of parents who pursued their individual professions within healthcare, my educational and professional goals rarely deviated from the pursuit of being involved in medicine. I am a very proud Colorado native with a longstanding connection to the Hawaiian islands beginning with relocating with my family to Hilo on Hawaii island as an elementary school student. Subsequent decades would reveal multiple relocations to and from Colorado and the Hawaiian islands; I am proud and abundantly grateful to call both Colorado and Hawaii home.

Having completed my undergraduate studies at The University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu as well as Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, I ultimately received my bachelor of science (BS) in Business Administration and Marketing. I later earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) from Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, CA. I have special interests and clinical work experience in OB/GYN, hematology/oncology, palliative care and addiction medicine.

I love being outside and enjoy snowboarding, gardening, kayaking, SUP’ing and proper beach days with a cooler of snacks and a huli huli chicken. I am truly blessed to have close relationships with my family and wonderful, genuine friendships. I am a self-proclaimed cat lady despite having only Lokelani aka “Loke.” I love traveling; following a safari in South Africa, I have made it my personal mission to see all of the great cats of the world in their natural habitats and will next be headed to the Pantanal!
