Biography
Laura-Mae Baldwin is a Professor of Family Medicine and a Senior Advisor for the WWAMI region Practice and Research Network (WPRN), a practice-based research network in the five state Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho region that is a collaboration between the Department of Family Medicine and the Institute of Translational Health Sciences. Dr. Baldwin has established active research partnerships with clinical practices, clinical organizations, and health systems across the WWAMI region, with a focus on collaborative research that implements health care innovations and improves quality of care in real-world primary care settings. Dr. Baldwin also has served as an investigator at the UW Center for Health Workforce Studies and Rural Health Research Center, bringing expertise in the use of large secondary databases to study rural-urban health disparities, cancer prevention and treatment, and perinatal health, all with an eye towards ensuring equitable access to high quality health services across the U.S.
