Its mission is to improve the health and well-being of patients in their communities through the conduct of collaborative research that informs and enhances primary care clinical practice. The WPRN\u2019s diversity of geography and practice type allows it to reach many rural and\u00a0underserved populations. WPRN Data QUEST practices are located in rural and urban Idaho and Washington State.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #666666\">WPRN Data QUEST clinic characteristics:<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #666666\"> \u2022 Community Health Centers and Rural Health Centers<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #666666\"> \u2022 Clinics range from less than 6,000 to 55,000 patient visits\/year<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #666666\"> \u2022 Clinics are in towns and cities of varying sizes, with populations of smaller than 1,000 to over 200,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dartnet.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1753 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/familymedicine.uw.edu\/dataquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/09\/DI-logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"313\" height=\"125\" srcset=\"https:\/\/familymedicine.uw.edu\/dataquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/09\/DI-logo.jpg 313w, https:\/\/familymedicine.uw.edu\/dataquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/09\/DI-logo-300x120.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 313px) 100vw, 313px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #2b0fff\"><a style=\"color: #2b0fff\" href=\"https:\/\/dartnet.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DARTNet Institute<\/a><\/span> is a rapidly growing collaboration of practice-based research networks that\u00a0are building a national collection of data from electronic health records, claims, and patient-reported\u00a0outcomes. The networks blend quality improvement, effectiveness, and translational\u00a0research with a data-driven learning system. More than 6,500 researchers from over 220 different institutions across the five-state WWAMI region have collaborated with ITHS to attract grant funding, build their research teams, develop research tools, move research projects forward, and engage with patients and the community. The Department provides leadership for core curriculum in the School of Medicine and is widely recognized for its research and academic programs in rural communities, including its support for the WWAMI region Practice and Research Network. The Department includes over 100 regular faculty members, 140 paid clinical faculty, and more than 1,200 WWAMI courtesy clinical faculty across the five-state region, along with over 30 adjunct or affiliate faculty and 30 emeritus faculty. Clinical faculty practice across multiple UW Medicine sites, including UWMC Montlake, UWMC Northwest, Harborview Medical Center, UW Neighborhood Clinics, and the UWMC Stadium Clinic.
