IPEDS may not capture completions from programs that don\u2019t receive federal funding, or individuals who may have entered the profession through on-the-job training or apprenticeship arrangements. Some IPEDS definitions of race\/ethnicity have changed since 2001. Prior to 2011, IPEDS included a category of \u201cAsian\/Native Hawaiian\/Other Pacific Islander.\u201d In 2011, this grouping was separated into \u201cAsian\u201d and \u201cNative Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander.\u201d In 2011, IPEDS added a \u201cTwo or more races\u201d category.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dental Assistant Program Data:<\/strong> Completion and institution counts for \u201cprivate career school programs\u201d are from data compiled by the Washington Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board from the Web-based Data and Reporting System (WBDRS), are only available for analysis beginning in 2013, and do not include race\/ethnicity and gender. To date, these numbers do not include completions from the high school dental assistant programs in the state.
