    Biography:
    Kris (Pui Kwan) Ma, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Family Medicine. Her research centers around health equity in primary care and community settings, with emphases on improving access and quality of integrated behavioral health services and dementia care for racially and ethnically minoritized populations, including Asian Americans and other low-income immigrant communities who speak a primary language other than English. She has rich experience in qualitative studies, community-engaged research, and implementation science. She received her PhD degree in Clinical-Community Psychology from DePaul University and completed psychology internship at the University of Washington. Her current research with the UW CHWS involves applying behavioral science to study and address common health workforce issues, such as implicit bias awareness and vaccine hesitancy.
