The University of Washington Center for Health Workforce Studies (UW CHWS) and the WWAMI Rural Health Research Center (RHRC), has launched two new studies in collaboration with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) to examine Oregon’s health care workforce needs and evaluate the state’s provider incentive programs. Together, these efforts will result in two reports to the Oregon Legislature in January 2027. The projects aim to examine policy and programmatic influences on Oregon health workforce, provide an overview of the primary care, behavioral health, and oral health workforce groups in Oregon, conduct a formal evaluation of Oregon’s provider incentives programs, and detail recommendations.
