National Academies Workshop on Affordability of Health Professional Education Co-Chaired by UW CHWS Director

The cost of health professional education has been identified as a barrier for individuals seeking a career in healthcare. The National Academy of Medicine is hosting a two-day workshop in Washington, DC, on April 23 and 24, 2025, with an option to join remotely, on the affordability of health professional education. In addition, there will be two pre-workshop meetings online on February 28, 2025, and March 25, 2025. The goal of the workshop is to identify what is known and not known about the cost of health professional education as a barrier for individuals and what is being done in the U.S. and around the world to reduce the cost of health professional education.

Dr. Bianca Frogner, UW CHWS Director, is the co-chair of this workshop. Register today at: https://www.nationalacademies.org/event/43894_04-2025_affordability-of-health-professional-education-a-workshop
